The Java Developer's Guide to Eclipse |
Chapter 30, Using Capabilities to Manage Too Much of a Good Thing,
explained how capabilities filter what functionality is visible to the user and help
address the problem of overwhelming user interfaces.
If the plug-in com.ibm.jdg2e.activities is installed,
you can use this filtering to remove the user interface contributions
of the examples associated with
this book by deselecting the JDG2E capability in the General > Capabilities
preference page.
All installed plug-ins from the book's CD-ROM will be
enabled by default. You can disable them from the user interface by
deselecting this capability. If you want to further inspect the
capability definition, examine the plugin.xml file.
